Sarah K. Pedinotti, known professionally as Lip Talk, is an interdisciplinary artist, musician, and producer whose work explores the intersection of sound, visual art, science, and storytelling.
Her recent installation, “Mantis Shrimp Matrix,” marks her debut into multimedia art, weaving together sculpture, video, performance, and sound design. Created from ocean trash and upcycled materials, her project translates the mantis shrimp’s extraordinary visual perception into a sonic landscape - inviting listeners to experience the creature’s sight through sound. MSM debuted in Bangkok, Thailand at ATTA Gallery and will be presented at Gallery ETHER in Tokyo, Japan, from May 22–27.
Focusing on sustainability, human perception, and evolution, she often blends playful humor with profound reflection. Her work is influenced by her background as an improviser, her love of synesthetic expression, and a desire to foster meaningful conversations about our evolving relationship with the natural world, our animal selves, and the ongoing process of healing and transformation.
As a musician and producer, Lip Talk has released two albums, “Laughing & Eating Cake” and “D A Y S.” Her discography includes collaborations with Laraaji, Hayley Williams, Feist, Cautious Clay, The Secret Machines, Okkervil River, and her bandmates in Kalbells.
She is also co-founder of Snack Mix, an improvisational residency series based in New York City, celebrating spontaneous collaboration.
